"RUN" is a piece of AI video art which represents my own interpretation of abstract expressionism by fusing traditional Indian ink with AI technology. 

AI INK INTERVENTIONS

"RUN" is a piece of AI video art which represents my own interpretation of abstract expressionism by fusing traditional Indian ink with AI technology. 

Initially inspired by Pollock's boundary-pushing methods, I use the abstraction of organic Indian ink to express the subconscious interplay of control and spontaneity. Moving then to GAN AI, I reinterpret these motifs, enhancing the art with technology that reflects de Kooning's abstract-figurative blend. 

The final stage is using GEN 2 Runway AI movie, which introduces motion, propelling the static into the kinetic. This is the final stage in fusing the abstract nature of Indian ink with AI.

A girl made of porcelain, so delicate and fragile. Hair as white as snow, eyes as blue as the sea, her heart as pure as the cloudless sky.

But the girl had been hurt before, and she was afraid to feel pain again. So she locked her heart and emotions away, hid the key where it can't be found.

As the years passed, emotions inside her grew and grew, and the girl's porcelain skin began to crack and chip. Sadness, loneliness and even love she held inside wanted to be freed once again.

As the years passed by, the girl no longer spoke, no longer danced or laughed. She had become a statue of porcelain, more beautiful than light. The key that was long lost, hidden away, can it be found once again?

Creating in the new era of art, where creativity and technology merge as one. Instead of using a brush on canvas, I combine digital painting with AI. This innovative tool unleashes my imagination, to create something unprecedented & fascinating.

We witness a figure suspended in an aura of palpable tension. As if possessed by an irresistible force, the figure embarks on a self-destructive ritual, carving deep, visceral strokes across its own visage. The destructive process unfolds, only for a mask, an artifice of its former self, to appear, concealing the turmoil, and resetting the relentless process, forging us both anew and in our old image. Nature's enduring cycle of creation and destruction, mirrored in art. It is an allegory that confronts us with a profound, and perhaps painful, truth: every endeavor to evolve and change can only begin with the canvas of our present selves.

Stylistic framework:  
"Ritual of Change" is part of a series of (Neo-)Expressionist artworks titled "Oh Look! It's Us!" by DocT. Rooted in the late 20th-century movement, Neo-Expressionism emerges as a rebellious force against the abstract and conceptual art of its time, giving prominence to emotional intensity and the raw tapestry of human experiences. Within this series, a kaleidoscope of distorted yet powerfully authentic reflections of reality and the intricacies of the human condition and the current Zeitgeist is unveiled.

The fusion of static and animated pieces beckons viewers to embark on a journey into the abyss of existence's disarray. Each digital stroke and frame has been meticulously crafted to encapsulate the very essence of our shared human plight. Through somewhat chaotic brushwork and vibrant hues, the series embraces the profound and illuminates the enigmatic and unsettling aspects of life in an almost visceral manner.

Process and media:  
Each work is the outcome of a specifically designed multi-step process, which includes the creation of a series of base images with MJ and/or SD, the partial blending of the base image drafts, and comprehensive post-editing using Photoshop and other editing tools.

Of note:  
Each piece collected from this series comes with a collectors edition piece. Collectors can sacrifice 3 collectors editions in exchange for one 1/1 from this series of their own choosing.   

The majority of pieces from this line of work will be 1/1 NFTs, apart from future airdrops to collectors and occasional edition pieces. Some works may also be available as separate physical art prints and/or semi-robotic installations/"physical gifs" in the future, which would not include the NFT.

The phrase "You're gonna need a bigger boat" is a line from the 1975 film Jaws, spoken by the character Chief Brody when he first sees the size of the shark they are hunting. It became a catchphrase for anytime anything went wrong.

It could be used as a metaphor for any situation where one is confronted with something much larger and more powerful than oneself. Overall, the phrase "You're gonna need a bigger boat" has the power to convey a sense of awe and humility, and can be used to reflect on the relationship between humanity and the natural world.
