Ekin Öykü

Ekin Öykü, our 35th Highlight at Suburbs Gallery, brings a unique blend of nature-inspired digital art to our space. Based in Istanbul, Turkey, Ekin's artistic journey began at a young age, nurtured by her mother's encouragement to draw with paper and pen. However, it wasn't until 2018, when she acquired her iPad, that she transitioned to creating digital art.

Ekin's deep connection with nature, cultivated since childhood, is evident in her work, which often features flora and natural elements. Despite studying music in Art School, her heart remained devoted to visual art, particularly in creating illusions on canvas.

An avid fan of Art History, Ekin draws inspiration from iconic works like Mona Lisa and Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli. In her art, she combines these influences with her personal experiences and emotions, weaving shadows and illusions around the women and environments she illustrates.

What began as a lifelong hobby has evolved into Ekin's first solo exhibition, made possible by her journey into the world of NFTs and the supportive community she found there. With love and peace as her guiding principles, Ekin's art invites viewers into a world where nature, history, and emotion converge in captivating digital compositions.
