A crystal clear night amongst the otherworldly clay cliffs of New Zealand’s South Island. Upon nightfall, these glacier-formed pinnacles create quite a spectacle; sharply contrasting against the bright, setting core of the Milky Way. The night sky to me is somewhat terrifying - it presents a reality far more intimidating than that of the stark clay cliffs. When the shutter clicks, what is revealed in the frame is a beautiful reminder of the vast, inhospitable, and mysterious universe that lies beyond our atmosphere.
