I remember my sister taking me here. I wished mum could. We’d often find the waters empty, welcoming us alone. I’d close my eyes and let the salty smells and the sister’s soft humming carry me away.
It’s no longer twenty minutes ride from Teshikaga, my sister lives on the other side of the ocean. But somewhere far out there, there’s this place, and I can dream back to it when I close my eyes. Dream of the soft humming.
