On special occasions in Arctic Norway, the aurora borealis behaves in an odd but spell-binding manner. Typically after a big show, it starts to flicker like a strobe light and engulfs the whole sky. This type of aurora, called pulsating, is often overlooked as it rarely shines very brightly with naked eyes. However, cameras can reveal the electric green pulsations in a very dynamic and intense way.
I put together this timelapse compilation of pulsating auroras and I am very thrilled to mint it especially on foundation as a first fo its kind. The sequences were gathered during the 5 years I have been living in northern Norway, showcasing the landscapes, fjords, mountains, lakes and seashores bathed in eerie green blobs of light. Enter the ever-evolving sea of green!
