As a child, I was sucked in by the hypnotic imagery of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (1951). In the same way that the film follows a child’s progression to adulthood, I am exploring my coming of age from those early impressionable years. The Cheshire Cat was memorable because it was elegantly nonsensical. The animation aims to capture the mischievous spirit of the character and poses the question of who/what we can trust for direction.
