As a child raised on classic rock, I was always drawn to the raw energy of the electric guitar. The emotion that came out of a piece of wood with strings absolutely blew my mind. I picked up a guitar at age 11 and realized quickly that a guitar is useless without an artist to make it talk, and the greats can make them sing! Like a guttural scream, the guitar allows you to express yourself with the confinement of words, and the shackles of verbal structure. Music truly is the universal language!
