When my eyes can't reach me
I invent a spyglass
to dry my tears
and guide me away
to that distant place
where I imagine myself walking
Then I mask myself
of pollen and wings
of butterfly eyes
that take me there
and step by step I advance
between heaven and earth
closer and closer
without losing my way
resting at times
so as not to break
