The perception that one has experienced something before, or is already acquainted with the the unfamiliar is called “deja vu”: a French phrase meaning “already seen”. This is a sensation that most have encountered in their lives, explained by science to be a half-remembered memory that shares common features with the scene one currently beholds. Our minds are designed to find patterns and we will apply them at every opportunity.
This piece is a 1/1 edition carefully created by Maneki Neko. It began as a text-to-image collaboration with an AI. It was finished by merging images from five or more generations together to create a piece with a coherent color scheme, expression of a theme and packed full of intricate detail.
Each piece is available in a printable resolution on request by the holder.
