'Based on a true story' is a mystery artwork about parallel dimension also known as a parallel universe. A multiverse where the very laws of nature are different.

A true story in multiple parallel universes co-exist simultaneously, only one story or alternative story can exist at any one moment, as alternative story usually involves, in essence, overriding the original timeline with a new one. As a result, travel between alternative stories is not possible without reverting the timeline back to the original.
