I had a picture stroll with my pals on November 1st, "Kerala Piravi Day" (marking the foundation of the state of Kerala in southern India).
My goal on "Kerala Pirvi Day" was to document a day in the life of a common man. I went to a neighboring fish market with this in mind.
Water was bordered on three sides of this market (backwaters).
I saw a guy fishing with his net and his boat in the traditional way.
I thought this photographic topic to be extremely intriguing and perfect.
I reached the bridge and started taking pictures to get a better look.
After a while, he merely came under the bridge where I stood. He wanted to take a break from fishing to smoke. I was thrilled to see this and snapped this shot.

This image was eventually promoted and even featured on its calendar by Canon India. Later on, numerous other photo journals, notably Better Photography Magazine, published the same image. This is one of my preferred pictures in my collection.
