“The game” is awarded by National Geographic - Honorable Mention 2015.
It is the main and most important photograph of my career. It is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Photography in Fortaleza (One of the most important in Latin America).
This work talks about Rio de Janeiro, about Brazil, Brazilian culture and pure joy.
The soccer ball is a symbol of utmost importance in Brazilian society, it is democratic, fanaticism and passion.
Women are the main protagonists. They are beautiful and in control of their own bodies and the game in the stunning scenery of Ipanema Beach.
This is an ode to Rio de Janeiro and it’s natives, the Cariocas.
An image that is like music, a dance, in a dizzying display of muscle and strength.
Pure emotion!
Legendary soccer player, Pelé, called it “The Beautiful Game”, referring to the special way Brazilian players played soccer, during an interview in England, and so the expression was coined.
