Tibetan Buddhism harbors very distinct and beautiful instruments and rituals of prayer. The prayer wheel is often seen as a physical representation of the phrase "turning the wheel of Dharma". I would often walk the trails surrounding the Dalai Lama's temple while I was working on my project. I would sit for long periods and simply watch people walk peacefully by, turning the wheels one by one.

This image was part of a documentary project exploring the cultural preservation of the Tibetan Exile Community while documenting in India in 2006.
