I'd risen early, eager to climb Kennedy Hill for sunrise, but nothing could have prepared me for the ethereal scene unfolding across the landscape as I stepped outside the cabin.
A dense blanket of fog had settled in the valley, creating what looked like a supernatural sea of mist. Above it, the dawn sky exploded in a symphony of colors I'd never witnessed before – delicate pinks melted into deep purples, while ribbons of gold and amber streaked through the clouds.
