Philadelphia, like many post-industrial cities, is full of rowhomes. These structures rely on each other for support, they literally share walls in common with each other. When one is demolished or destroyed, outlines of its shape and rooms remain on the formerly-shared wall. I see these patterns as an invitation to imagine the countless stories of the former residents of the lost home.
