Suburbs Gallery Solo Highlight Exhibition no 51
Kolahon, whose name means "chaos" in Thai, brings a unique perspective to Suburbs Gallery as our 51st Highlight artist. His work delves deep into the chaotic thoughts and emotions we all navigate, transforming them into visually striking pieces. Inspired by the notion of reinventing oneself in a chaotic world, Kolahon’s art captures the delicate balance between order and disorder.
Through intricate character design and rich symbolism, Kolahon explores themes of dreams, freedom, and the search for equilibrium, often represented by the yin-yang. Each piece he creates tells a compelling story, reminding us to embrace our fragile selves and find our place in the ever-changing world. Kolahon's work is not just an exploration of chaos but also a celebration of the beauty and complexity within it.
Kolahon’s Looking Up presents a delicate interplay between the celestial and the earthly, capturing a moment of serene introspection. The figure, with ethereal white hair flowing down, is bathed in soft, muted tones that evoke a dreamlike atmosphere. The minimalist background, punctuated by abstract, spherical forms, suggests a connection to the cosmos, enhancing the sense of wonder and curiosity. The figure’s upward gaze invites the viewer to ponder the mysteries of the universe, while the intricate patterns on the garment add a layer of complexity, hinting at the rich inner world of the subject. The artwork beautifully balances simplicity and detail, making it a captivating piece that encourages contemplation.
