In "Aura Dorée," ADAM MOFASA captures the ethereal purity and modern spirituality of a young dreaded girl encircled by golden fish, symbolizing innocence and enlightenment.
"Grit and Glamour" juxtaposes gritty realism with opulence, portraying a gangsta in a lavish living room, highlighting the duality of power and vulnerability amidst luxury and the underworld.
"Heritage and Harmony" depicts a Black man in a suit with his fine black horse outside a neo-classical house, celebrating heritage, elegance, and the harmonious relationship between man, nature, and architecture.
In "Horse and the Rider," ADAM MOFASA honors Western tradition and resilience, portraying a Black cowboy in a black suit and hat, confidently standing with his horse, embodying strength and companionship.
"4 AM" encapsulates serenity and spirituality through a late-night atmosphere featuring a customized radio, a piece of squeezed paper, a towel, and an alarm clock, evoking introspection and tranquility.
Techniques + Inspiration: A testament to the power of innovation and determination
Using only his mum's Android phone and an improvised digital pen, crafted by inserting a piece of cotton bud into a metal pen as seen on a YouTube video, ADAM brought these hyperrealistic artworks to life. This unconventional approach highlights the artist's undying passion and relentless hard work. Each piece in the collection reflects the artist's commitment to overcoming limitations and pushing the boundaries of digital art. Through sheer dedication and resourcefulness, ADAM has crafted a collection that is both deeply personal and universally resonant, inviting viewers to experience the extraordinary within the ordinary.

"Itan" translates to "story" or "history" in Yoruba. Yoruba people are one of the largest and most culturally significant ethnic groups in West Africa. Yoruba culture is known for its vibrant and expressive arts, including sculpture, textiles, music, dance, and storytelling. Yoruba art has a strong emphasis on symbolism and spirituality and has influenced the broader African art world. Itan Foundation World isn’t just about displaying art, but also about telling the stories and histories of West African artists, their cultures and their creative journeys. Each artwork is selected for its ability to evoke a sense of storytelling and exploration.
