Bolaji Olaloye is a seasoned Nigerian freelance digital artist and illustrator with over a decade of experience in the field. Holding a BA in Fine and Applied Art from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Bolaji is proficient in a wide range of art styles, from heavily stylized designs to photo realism. This versatility has allowed him to work on various projects, including character design, children’s book illustration, comic book art, and visual development. With over 30 published books to his name, Bolaji has made a significant impact in the art world.

In 2018, he successfully completed a 365-day art challenge, creating a new piece of art every day for a year, further showcasing his dedication and talent. Bolaji’s work has garnered attention and recognition from notable publications and platforms.His art has also been featured by prominent game studios such as Insomniac Games and Guerrilla Games. In 2023, his works were highlighted by Procreate across their social media platforms. This exposure has solidified Bolaji’s reputation as a dynamic and skilled artist in the digital art community.

Throughout his career, Bolaji has collaborated with several prestigious brands and clients. He has worked with NetherRealm Studios, with his artwork showcased at the Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event in London. His talent was also recognized by the Star Wars team, who featured his work across their social media channels to promote the new season of The Mandalorian on Disney. Additionally, Bolaji has worked with clients such as HarperCollins, Triggerfish Animation, Workman Publishing, Burna Boy, and MTV Base.

"Itan" translates to "story" or "history" in Yoruba. Yoruba people are one of the largest and most culturally significant ethnic groups in West Africa. Yoruba culture is known for its vibrant and expressive arts, including sculpture, textiles, music, dance, and storytelling. Yoruba art has a strong emphasis on symbolism and spirituality and has influenced the broader African art world. Itan Foundation World isn’t just about displaying art, but also about telling the stories and histories of West African artists, their cultures and their creative journeys. Each artwork is selected for its ability to evoke a sense of storytelling and exploration.
