PABAJA X Trevor Foster.
This project was inspired by the theme of East meets West.
Pabaja, is a textile designer living and working in Bangkok, Thailand – inspired by Asian motifs and traditional patterns. Her attention to detail is unparallel, often spending days and weeks on the intricate details of her dot drawings.
Trevor Foster is ceramic artist from Seattle, who has lived in Asia for the past 8 years. He has devoted his life to the pursuit of creating
highly detailed and unusual ceramicwares which reside in ceramic collections in countries around the world.
This new collaboration is a result of the passion of these two creators. Both artists were drawn to each other through their love of insects and traditional patterns. The original insect forms were inspired by the ceramic Trevor created while living in Arita, Japan. Pabaja expanded on Trevor’s designs with even more detail and created a fanciful floral environment for the beetles to inhabit.
