Aón was a kind of hunting dogs that lived in the Caribbean with the aboriginal communities. Its bearing and silent character made a great impression on the conquerors, since, apparently, those dogs did not bark and hardly made any sounds. As settlements dwindled, they went into the forest and made it their home. Slowly, their learned habits gave way to their wild nature. Thus, isolated from all civilization, they became to called themselves Jíbaros. Many years after, they evolved into nocturnal winged dogs.
