One of my absolute favorite and popular photos. This feature the North and Southbound Grand Island Bridge which were actually built 28 years apart. The southbound was opened in 1935, while the northbound span was opened in 1963. Even though bridge building styles and techniques had changed by the 1960's , every effort was made to replicate the styles used in the previous build.
I was in awe of how small I felt taking this photo. The sound of the cars flying by only added to the experience.
