Between the rails of the Burnside Bridge and overlooking the East Side of the river with I-5 and the city skyline in the background. The moss represents the old and the new, the growth is somewhat of a dichotomy. The housing market skyrocketing while many feel the city falling apart with a rising homeless population and socioeconomic and mental health issues evidenced by tents popping up citywide. The old and the new. Not dissimilar to my photography, a polarization of old film monochrome and chemical processing versus new digital techniques.
Rip City Nights is a collection dedicated to many years spent in my youth looking for great spots to photograph the night life.
This collection includes only four images, but the connection to the rest of my work is undeniable. This represents my editing in digital work, tying the past with the present and the future. It is the glue that connects my previous collections on OpenSea to what I will create in the future.
