Lekoudesch, or "Jewish Cattle Traders Jargon," was a vocabulary combining Hebrew and German, used as means of secret communication among Jewish cattle traders in rural Germany. The oil painting depicted represents the Ethereum address of this NFT as a series of branding irons, with Hebrew letters in the background. The Hebrew stencils used to make the painting are hanging on pegboard along with the painting. The painting and NFT were made by Katie Herzog for the MexiCali Biennial and will be included in "The Land of Milk and Honey" exhibition at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History from September 1 through December 31, 2022. Sale of this NFT will initiate a transfer of beef to a local nonprofit.
