Black Opal is one of the rarest gemstones on Earth, like the stone capturing an image like this with a dominate golden tone with just a hint of blue is rare. The way the textures of the ocean bounce light on the face of the wave creates an infinite amount of variabilities but i loved this piece for its almost oil like texture.
I love images that push towards the abstract in surf photography no longer is it just a wave, it can become what ever the viewer sees, sometimes its faces others its animals.... what do you see?
