Description

One day, Bhasmasur was gifted a boon from Lord Shiva - a power that would kill anyone whose head he would touch. To gain supremacy, Bhasmasur chased Shiva to kill him. Confused & scared, Shiva approached Lord Vishnu, aka "The Preserver” - one of the triple deity of supreme divinity, including Brahma (Creator) & Shiva (Destroyer).

Vishnu asked Shiva to hide and transformed into a dancer named ‘Mohini’. She was so exceedingly beautiful that Bhasmasur proposed her to marry. Mohini agreed, but asked the demon to first dance with her. He got so immersed in the dance that, when Mohini struck a pose of placing her hand over her head, the demon imitated her & killed himself with his own boon.

ARTWORK: The eyes are Bhasmasur, Mandalas represent Mohini’s dance. Shiva is hiding, while the fire represents the boon. The background portrays our universe where this divine intervention of the Gods & Demon takes place.
