Lunar Trinity consists of 3 different moons to create the overall composition.
Full Mineral Moon (Middle) :
The colours here are natural but amplified to reveal the real minerals of the moon. The most common colour on the moon is orange this is due to the higher traces of hydrated iron oxides. The near side of the moon is made up of 50k individual frames during the first quarter phase.
Partial Mineral Moon (Left) :
The purple / blue colours are a result of traces of titanium and the green colours are mostly from oxygen, silicon, magnesium, iron calcium and aluminium. A fuller first quarter phase was used to create an almost full moon effect, around 80k frames were shot for the additional detail.
B&W Moon (Right) :
40k frames of a waxing gibbous were shot for this individual moon. The data was then edited in black and white to create a different and almost dark feeling.
