Light and dark are two sides of the same coin, both necessary and interdependent in the non-dualistic nature of existence. Just as there can be no light without dark, there can be no good without evil, no pleasure without pain, and no self without other. Non-dualism reminds us that all things are interconnected, and that the very existence of one thing depends on the existence of its opposite. Trying to cling to one while rejecting the other is a futile pursuit that only leads to suffering. Instead, we must learn to embrace both light and dark, to see them as part of the same whole, and to find peace in the ever-changing dance of life.
