This is the first piece in a series of perpetual music machines. Inspired by early music boxes, Sonus Apparatus - 1 is designed to create a musical loop generated by the cyclical rhythmic movements and collisions in its clockwork-like mechanism. The pixel art animation acts as a motion-graphic notation for the musical composition.
