As the sun began to set, the last light of the day shined over the mountains and onto the ocean. After shooting for ten hours straight, Matt encountered this monster of a wave. One of the biggest waves he has seen. Captivated by the light reflecting on the water, Matt captured this incredible moment.

The whale photo:
A special encounter with these majestic giants of the ocean. A mother whale helping her calf breathe. Swimming close by is another adult whale. As described by Matt, the third whale felt like he was protecting the pair. A scene representing a family moment.

The edit:
We focused on the idea of companionship when editing this photo. The three whales swimming together represents family. An image where these gentle giants slowly cruised through the deep blue ocean while a beautiful wave soared over them.
