Eve (appropriated from Sally Mann’s Candy Cigarette) has taken the fruit (Apple phone) from the tree of knowledge, and her naiveté is instantly lost. She looks directly at the viewer with a knowing look.

Adam (appropriated from Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom) has yet to take a bite. He is still in his innocent state. The number 57 on his sleeve represents complete restoration…wholeness.

The turned stroller alludes to the ambiguous future awaiting the pair.
