Located in the western region of North America, Mount Shasta stands tall as a member of the Cascades mountain range. This massive volcano serves as a prominent geographical landmark spanning across northern California and southern Oregon. Beyond its breathtaking grandeur, Mount Shasta carries within it numerous captivating legends and an intricate history that resonates with the local communities dwelling in its vicinity.

I love visiting this great mountain across all seasons. I captured it here in mid-summer under the captivating glow of the dark night sky. I believe this image helps accentuate some of the mystery of this sacred place.
