During the Great Depression, the US government commissioned photographers to record the struggles of rural life. The negatives of rejected images were punctured with a hole puncher by the director of the program.
For me too many hearts, throats and lower parts were punctured for it to be accidental. So, I collected and edited them, creating an endless tunnel of uncertain meaning.
The winner of the auction will also receive a 20x24in.(50x60cm) print of the photograph of his choice.
