Outburst is based on an oil painting I have created in 1995. Now with digital manipulations I have been able to magnify the main characteristics of this work, namely the water jetting out of the ground and the fire burning under the single figure. For me it is a mythical piece because it references the 4 elements that were so prominent in art through out the middle ages, namely fire, water, earth and air.
