The concept for CESSNA is a virtual repair of a broken model aeroplane owned by musician Hugo Gruzman of Flight Facilities. Hugo inherited the model from his grandfather, barrister and inventor Laurie Gruzman, a formative influence on the name and concept of Hugo’s band.

The model is a scale replica of Laurie’s Cessna 310 with which he developed and tested his Precision Aerial Deployment System (PADS) for air-sea rescue. This digital version draws inspiration from archival footage, and the quiet calm atmosphere of the Australian coastal location where the original Cessna was housed.

CESNA was designed by Ebony Fleur in collaboration with Kyoko Hashimoto, and soundtracked by Hugo Gruzman.
