Pokhara is one of the most famous places in Nepal for street photography and also a base location for high mountaineering treks.
I planned to show it in a different light. After hiking for several kilometres along the shore I located this area of the lake where the water was so clear that the rocks underneath were clearly visible. I positioned myself to take a few shots and to my surprise a boat from the opposite land set sail. I grounded myself there until it reached the centre of the lake where I could frame it with the submerged rocks.

Tranquility on the surface and heavy as rocks on the inside, sometimes I sub-consciously end up taking pictures which are an extension of my own emotions. Deep Solitude is one such image.
