The ‘White Sands’ in New Mexico had been on my bucket list for a long time. Therefore, it was a must for me to stop by while traveling in a van across the US. The glistening white sand dunes of New Mexico create the world’s largest gypsum dune field spanning across 275 square miles. Walking through the expansive dune field, you can see mountains towering in the distance. On our last day camping out in desert, we were blown away by an incredible sunset lightening up the sky behind the surrounding mountains. Moments like this, I will never forget.
