Elle #4” is the fourth of a series of motion collages exploring a woman’s feelings.

The surrealists used collage to quickly confront ideas or surfaces. They hoped for the subconscious to express itself and “creative collisions” to happen. Sources were limitless, humor was often present.

@caroline_defrance revisits this heritage with motion and emotion. It is up to us to decrypt her animations and take whatever we need: in “Elle #4” I see the feminine call for beauty and charm, and the possible way this is consuming us.
