1/1 photograph by Burnish, a Little Egret (that's actually its name, not just a descriptor)! This egret was hunting for breakfast in a pond on the beach in California right before sunrise. I felt that the pure white plumage of the bird was best expressed surrounded in bright, minimalist black and white, with as few distractions as possible.
