"pənʌmbrə /2" is the purgatorial moment between the beginning of the 11-piece Penumbra story, and the Entry to the next realm.

Our traveler has stepped into a surrealist portal room after opening a doorway in pənʌmbrə /1. The next step is an important one, bringing our traveler into the realm between shadows, the realm of Penumbra.

There's many call-outs in the piece to other works in the series, as this is the fifth mint and congruence was crucial. From the transformation of clothing, the developing pathway, and even small details such as the walking stick and candle, (plus, the first appearance of a passage from the new religion, "Syncretica", wrapping around the doorway) all connect the dots solidifying pənʌmbrə /2 as a pivotal piece in the series.
