Alpine Gradient

A shift in perspective.

Bearing witness to something larger than yourself that is neither dependant upon you, nor aware of your existence forces a humbling perspective shift. The mountains exist regardless of you - an external presence forcing introspection. Beautiful and freeing, austere and raw.

On this particular day in the alpine, smoke from wildfires raging south of the border layered out each subsequent peak leading up to the magnificent spire of Mount Slesse. The complex layering of perspective amplifying the complex emotions of alpine travel.
