The ocean moves in cycles. The Sun creates wind, the wind creates waves. Swells travel for thousands of miles and dissipate their energy. Sometimes in a violent and beautiful way. That’s when moments like 'Revolve' are made.
One does not accidentally capture an image like this.
Sometimes years are spent chasing one fraction of a second. Travelling, searching, carrying bulky bags of camera equipment on and off planes, boats and helicopters, years of swimming with a camera in a waterproof housing - to seek out these moments of ephemerality.
Once captured, this singular moment is then transformed into a mesmerising moving image, detailing the ocean’s myriad of colours and textures, as well as its immense power.
