Supercells are fierce and untamed- boiling across the horizon leaving both awe and havoc in their wake. With each chase I feel as if I'm breaching the gulf between darkness and light. It's this place- between the churn and the calm- where I am most at home.
I captured this image while chasing west of Lubbock, Texas in May 2021 and it perfectly represents the wild beauty and danger of the pursuit.
