■水蛭子 / Hiruko
Hiruko is the first child of Izanagi and Izanami.
This god was born with a disability in his limbs ("蛭" means leech) .
This poor child was put on a boat of reeds and abandoned in the sea.
It is unknown what happened to him after that.
According to other legends, Hiruko was washed ashore in Settsu-no-Kuni (currently around Hyogo and Osaka prefectures) and was raised by people.

■Meaning
“水/- ” means ”water”.
”蛭/hiru” means ”leech” .
“子/ko” means ”child”.

■Concept
I drew it to look like a half-human half-fish because it was a god who couldn't take the form of a human.
An image that is completely sealed and hidden at the bottom of the dark deep sea.
