The photo that started everything…

This photo of Roman was taken by his beloved mother, Valentina, on July 30th, 2011. He is wearing a brand new shirt (and shorts, which are not shown in this image), that were sent to him by his devoted aunt all the way from Kyrgyzstan.

While taking a stroll along the Volga River in Volgograd, Roman asked his mother to take a photo of him. Little did he know, how impactful this photo will turn out to be…

The photo heavily circulated the web for quite some time but first appeared over /r/ANormalDayInRussia on July 6th, 2015, where it gained nearly 1k upvotes and soon after became the mascot of the 4chan biz board, acting as a representation of early crypto adopters that were making significant gains in trading and with the bull market in general.

To this day, Roman is referred to as “The boy who saved Crypto”.
