These photographs are taken on the icy Taimyr Peninsula in April 2019. They are indigenous Nenets living near the Russian Arctic capital of Dudinka, about 89 kilometers from Norilsk. These indigenous people are quite unknown - not like those of the Yamal Peninsula - some have never seen a foreigner in their lives. This area of northern Krasnoyarks is one of Russia's nine krais. The brigades of Nenets, spread over this territory, live as nomads in their Balok (houses), thanks to the grazing of reindeer that they move from one piece of land to another according to the quantity and quality of the pasture. Winter temperatures reach minimums of around 50º below zero.
