The 'Link between Worlds' acts as a bridge to the inner world within us. In my interpretation of this theme, the myth of Narcissus serves as a powerful visual archetype, symbolizing the influence of the doppelganger. The central idea revolves around individuals gazing at their reflections in water, acting as a mirror that unveils the reality surrounding them and within them. In a broader context, it suggests that our reality is consistently shaped by how others perceive us, influencing the narrative they construct about our identity. This lack of control highlights the crucial need for self-awareness to prevent losing oneself in the perspectives of others.
We repeatedly reflect ourselves through the myriad perspectives of others, constructing our reality based on their perceptions. This artwork extends an invitation to shift our focus from external reflections painted by others to the reflection we see within ourselves first, encouraging a deeper understanding and connection with our own identity.
