This piece “The Last Artist” is carrying on the visual semiotics of using horses to represent traditional artists in a post AI world.
The idea behind this one is that the last artist to refuse to use AI would cause a wild scene of chaos in the museum. The people would be frenzied to get a sight of this last vestige of artistic integrity.
The absurdism is intentional. There will never be a last artist, just like in the last hundred years of cars there was never a last horse. The beauty and the majesty of the horse is always a compliment paid to the skill and tradition of artists.
