In my work I use lighting a lot to tell stories. Stories about shape and form, even the relationship between objects. For this piece, there's a single McIntosh Apple sitting centered in the composition. The apple is in shadow except for a strip of sunlight pouring over a narrow part revealing true details that can't otherwise be seen.
