Each years, humpback whales travel from Antartica to French Polynesia to mate and give birth. Given the calf is strong enough by then, they will head back down south a few months later.

They will stay together for a year, until their return to the Polynesian waters where they will go their separate ways... and the cycle will go on, as it ever did.
