I Am Resilient

The truth is you betrayed me. I had thought I was done with all of that. Yet, worse than that betrayal, was the casual dismissal.

The light hearted forgetting of all the past efforts that had built us to where we are now. I have nowhere left to fall, the bottom is littered with remnants of my previous destruction.

It seems at this point it is hardly a fall at all, almost as if I just bent at the waist expecting to be let down. Remember this though, I am resilient.

I will not take this lesson and build it with hate. The truth is I love you.

I will simply learn not to treat others the same way.
